A remake of the first vaporwave remix I ever did... if you could call that a remix. It was more like an experiment that was barely edited, hence why I remade it for the album from scratch.
I added almost exactly the same amount of effects as the last time, but tweaked a little bit to have a slightly different feeling. Also mashed the original song with a very old midi of "The Real Folk Blues" I had saved (I have it since prolly 2002 or something earlier), but with rhodes instead of the original piano it had. I felt like the instrument would fit Hikage's theme better and make it a bit more unique.
Also since in the original video had Hikage's flashback and she was under the rain I thought it would be a nice idea to add a tweaked raining sound effect. It is present during the entire music, but it's barely recognizable until you reach the end and the music starts fading out.
I can't really tell I did a good job at this one, but It sure feels a lot more melancholic with all those tweaks. Just like Hikage's repressed originated from her dark past.
Musics used:
• The Real Folk Blues - Yoko Kanno (a piano midi version I found many years ago)
• Seeking a Heart - Senran Kagura Burst ~ Guren no Shoujotachi OST
