A remade version of a mashup that got me pretty pissed off at the time it was made. The original one was a massive combo breaker to me, since I was (or at least thought I was) doing good with my mashups up until that point and that one HAD to get fucked up. The acapella had a problem where you could hear the instruments of the original song. To be fair, though, the old one was my first try at making an acapella so it was bound to fail.

Some months pass and I finally manage to make a proper acapella of Hikari to Yami no Kanata for my future mashups. When that happened I need to make a revision of that old and failed mashup. So I did, so I posted that on Youtube and then, more than a year later, we have this version on this album.

At the time this idea of a mashup first came I just wanted to make a counterpart to the one where the instrumental was from Senran Kagura instead (the 10th track of the album). Then I chose my two favorite characters from Hanzo Academy, put their versions of Deep Crimson's themes together and phase cancelled them to extract their voices. The two musics were already on the same key, so the rest was just syncing everything and messing with Pushing Me Away's structure a bit to fit the vocals.

If I'm not mistaken it was roughly around the time I was making the REDUX version that the first idea of getting everything I made up until that point and making an album out of it came to my mind. I was still reluctant, though, so I ended up leaving the idea for later and only really started making it during April of 2017.
