If I recall correctly this is the first mashup I used the beat mapping feature in ACID. You have now idea how tracking the bpm of the songs makes process of making mashups easier. It was around the time I discovered a program called "MixMeister BPM Analyzer", a very handy tool to make your life easier since it can detect the bpm of a song by analyzing its sound waves.

This mashup came about when I was talking to one of my friends (who was a huge fan of Hikage and likes rap/hip hop) and the idea of putting Hikage's pre-transformation theme with DMX came to my mind. I told him about that and he was very eager to see the results, so I quickly decided to work on it.

I think DMX totally fits Hikage's character and the theme used for this mashup certainly fleshes out why: she is a character spent a good chunk of her life growing up in the streets and even was a part of a gang at some point. That music was just asking to have rapping in it!

Why did I boosted the bass for this one though? I don't remember.
